About the book
Rather than simply playing these forgotten relics alone, he decides to challenge anyone and everyone willing to take him on—issuing an open invitation to the world. What follows is a hilarious journey through competitive gaming culture, as Gorman battles strangers, friends, and bewildered passersby across an eclectic mix of obscure and classic games. From his living room to unexpected venues across the country, he documents each encounter with his signature wit and observational humour, revealing the peculiar characters who emerge from the woodwork and the surprisingly intense world of casual gaming. Equal parts social experiment and comedy adventure, this is an entertaining exploration of our competitive nature and the wonderful absurdity of human connection.
