About the book
Placing his own mysterious advert in a magazine with just those two words, he waits to see what happens. What follows is an unexpectedly brilliant social experiment as hundreds of people respond, eager to join his invented collective without knowing anything about it. As his accidental movement gains momentum, Wallace finds himself leading a peculiar band of followers—"joinees"—on random acts of kindness and increasingly absurd adventures across the country. This charming true story is both a hilarious comedy of errors and a surprisingly touching exploration of human connection, community, and our innate desire to belong to something bigger than ourselves.
