A network of pilgrim routes across Europe, all of them converging on the cathedral at Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. The Camino Francés is the one most people mean: around 780km from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, over the Pyrenees and west across northern Spain. Walk the last 100km and you can claim a compostela, which is why Sarria is busier than anywhere else on the route.
